Debit Card information:
This location accepts Debit Cards. Conditions of debit card use: card must be in main driver's name. MasterCard or VISA only. Debit cards must be issued by a bank, and numbers must be embossed. Please note, the deposit amount will be charged if using a debit card and associated transactions fees may apply. Maximum rental duration 28 days if using a debit card. Prepaid and electronic cards (Visa Electron) are not accepted.

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
Goldcar does not allow travel outside of Portugal. All cross-border travel is on request and permission must be obtained directly from the rental car supplier.
Exception: Customers who pick up their vehicles at Faro, Lisbon and Oporto offices may travel to Andalucía at an extra cost of 9€ per day with a minimum charge of 35€ and with a maximum charge of 95€.
Customers who pick up their vehicles at our Oporto office may travel to Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria & Basque Country. An additional cover is necessary for these customers. The cost of this additional cover is 9€ per day, with a minimum charge of 35€ and with a maximum charge of 95€.
Goldcar vehicles rented in Madeira are not allowed to travel outside of Madeira.
Vehicles collected in Madeira may travel to Porto Santo Island as long as the customer contracts the additional cover for a daily fee of 9€ per day of the total rental period, with a minimum charge of 35 € and a maximum charge of 95 €.
Customers who pick up their vehicles at the Ponta Delgada office can travel to Santa Maria and the Terceira Islands for an extra cost of 9€ per day with a minimum charge of 35€ an maximum charge of 95€
Customers who pick up their vehicles at the Terceira office can travel to Flores, Corvo, Graciosa, Sao Jorge, Pico, Faial, Santa Maria and Sao Miguel Islands for an extra cost of 9€ per day with a minimum charge of 35€ an maximum charge of 95€
If the additional cover is not contracted by the customer then the basic cover included in every rental will only be valid on the island where the vehicle was collected by the customer.
